I feel like The Musketeers has really stepped up its game this season. Season One was mostly frothy, inconsequential fun. Much as I enjoyed it, it occasionally veered into nonsense territory and there were too many minor characters doing BBC Bit Part acting (see, many gurning peasants in Merlin.) The Three Musketeers has been one of my favourite books for years. I'm re-reading it at the moment and absolutely loving it (and I'd forgotten just how funny it is.) That being the case, the new adaptation that's on the BBC at the moment was always going to be my cup of tea, and I'm really pretty obsessed with it right now.
